CHARITY EVENTS
Belleveue Mortlakes has been raising funds for CHICKS, a fantastic national children’s charity that provides 8-15 year olds with FREE respite breaks at retreats in Devon and Cornwall so that they can swim in the sea, visit the countryside, ride a horse and run around in green wide open spaces; often for the first time in their lives.
Whilst there the children can let off steam, make new friends, build their confidence and ultimately build some positive childhood memories.
The breaks offered by CHICKS are just the beginning and the effects last a lifetime. Each year CHICKS needs to raise £1. 3 million and it receives no government funding. Whilst children are
currently being pushed further into poverty, we are trying to provide many more disadvantaged children with the chance to benefit from some positive time away.
Here are some of the events in aid of the Charity that we are organising / have organised recently, raising much needed funds for CHICKS, as well as National events that we are participating in for other charities:
Belleveue Mortlakes Property Industry Event
Over 140 Auctioneers, Agents, Property Financiers and representatives from Parliament came together to raise awareness of and funds for the North London Hospice. On behalf of everyone at Belleveue Mortlakes may I express my very sincere appreciation and gratitude to all those who attended and a special thank you to all our speakers, including our guest speaker, David Sandeman from EIG Auctions. We are most thankful for your support of this great cause.

Belleveue Mortlakes v EFG Private Bank Football
EFG Private Bank took on the Belleveue Mortlakes team, raising money for CHICKS, a children's charity. In a hard fought match, a young and talented EFG Private Bank team held on to an early lead to win 6-4. Tobias Aronzon (3), Steve Beckley, Will Gunnell and Adam Swift scored for EFG, while Andy Kyprianides (2), Samir Faiad and Zain Ahmad scored for Belleveue Mortlakes, whose players will now need at least one month to recover!!
Metro Bank v Nationwide Go-Karting
Belleveue Mortlakes hosted a Nationwide Building Society V Metro Bank go-karting event on behalf of CHICKS children’s Charity. The 25 very competitive and determined drivers took part in what appeared at times to be a qualifier for the Monaco Grand Prix!! First on the podium was Robert Hill from Nationwide, 2nd place went to Panny Antoniou from Metro Bank and 3rd place to Taz Patel from Metro Bank. May we thank all who took part and spectated for a fabulous day.
Belleveue Mortlakes v Lloyds Bank Football Match
Lloyds Bank took on the Belleveue Mortlakes team in an 11-a-side charity football match at the Paulin Ground, Winchmore Hill, raising money for Children in Need and CHICKS children’s charity. In a hard fought match Belleveue were very fortunate to hang on to a 2 - 2 final result. David Kearney and Rudi Winslow scored for Lloyds Bank, while Michael Yianni and Mark Heane scored for Belleveue Mortlakes.
Romford Greyhound Stadium
An evening hosted in conjunction with Bowling & Company and Handlesbanken. Guests from a variety of property backgrounds attended in support of this Charity Event. A special thank you to the Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, for his assistance with the organisation.
7-a-Side Football Match
Thank you to the following teams for assisting with our tournament: Allied Irish Bank, Bank of Cyprus UK, Nationwide, EFG, Lloyds Bank, Metro Bank, MT Finance and SPF Private Finance. The event took place on 24th September at the Walker Ground, Southgate. David Burrowes, our local MP for Enfield Southgate, was on hand to present the Winners trophy – congratulations go to Lloyds Bank who beat Bank of Cyprus UK in the final.
Palace To Palace Bike Ride
Palace to Palace is a cycle ride from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle. This year was the 10th Anniversary ride, and was an incredible occasion. Michael Yianni (Managing Director) and several colleagues completed the 45 mile route, helping to raise vital funds for The Prince’s Trust, whose programmes assist vulnerable and underprivileged young people.
Great Windsor Park Horse Ride
Firstly, a big thank you to the following for making the day such a success: Barlow Robbins, Howard Kennedy, HSBC, MT Finance, Brecher, Chestertons and Shawbrook. What a fantastic day riding through the Great Windsor Park, with stunning views overlooking Windsor Castle and the surrounding countryside and superb sunny weather to top it all off. The riders came from all levels of experience, from those who had never ridden before to those who compete at a national level. Whatever our experience we all had a great day out, and many of us needed a few days to recover from the achy legs!
Belleveue Mortlakes v Bank of Cyprus UK
Bank of Cyprus UK took on the Belleveue Mortlakes team in an 11 a side football match held at the Paulin Ground, Winchmore Hill. It was a close fought match, but Belleveue Mortlakes finally emerged 2-1 winners against a strong and competitive Bank of Cyprus team. Goals were scored by Harj Padda and Mark Heane (Belleveue Mortlakes) and Mario Socratous (Bank of Cyprus UK).
Go Ape, Trent Park
The Belleveue Mortlakes team together with some of our clients swung through the trees on a Go Ape Adventure in Trent Park.
